Bilbies, Numbats and other mammal species which are currently listed as extinct in NSW will be returned to the States National Parks under an historic initiative announced today by the NSW Environment Minister.
The WA Minister for Environment Albert Jacob presented Australian Wildlife Conservancy with a Lotterywest Grant for $500,000 today to help establish the largest feral predator-free area on mainland Western Australia. It is the first instalment in a $1m investment by Lotterywest in the Mt Gibson Project.
Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) and the Perth-based mining company, Top Iron Pty Ltd (Top Iron), have entered into a ground-breaking partnership that will boost protection for several of Australias most endangered mammals.
